A Purple One!

Purple is Maryclara's all time favorite color....so......
Connie, my most favorite, wonderful-ist, home daycare saint!, called me a few minutes ago. And my baby.... my sweet, sweet baby.....POOPED AND PEED in the potty! Oh dang! That's right!
When Connie asked her what kind of surprise she wanted, she said "a purple one"! So, we will find a "purple one" tonite, and praise her, and love her, and clap, and sing, and dance, and act plum crazy......

In hopes this continues!!

You are mommies most favorite little lady. You are growing up so fast and continue to amaze us everyday. Going to the potty is one of the (first of) many things you will learn while you grow up. I am so proud of you!

Trying to keep up....

Whew! We haven't had really a lot going on lately, just seems we stay busy though. I like busy, but I feel like I get behind on things sometimes. Anywho, I have a growing belly, that lately, has been giving me fits. Baby is fine, I am fine, just some nausea here and there. This past Sunday, I woke up, and thought I was going to die! Stomach hurting, potty all day.......ugh. Brian had to cancel his golf game and mind our little beast, so I could rest. I slept, all.day.long. Woke up, had a swallow of a drink and slept.all. night. I think it was a bug....but I'm still having some "aftershocks", that I am hoping will go away sooner than later. I have a doctors appt tomorrow, so I will mention it.
Maryclara has been really good. She came home about a week ago, and said she wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese. She has never been, so I assumed she was hearing it at school. So we decided to take her. On a Monday. At 5pm. Not crowded, at all..thank goodness! But she thought she was something else! Had so much fun and mommy and daddy did too.

She keeps asking to go back, so we will pick another weekday and go again.

Sitting on her "pincess" couch, reading her Highlights magazine. Her Gigi got her a subscription, and she can't put it down! Lots of "find the picture" games and colors. This is before bed....hence the nightgown. She HAS to wear a "pincess" nightgown every night.

Her and daddy playing before bed. She runs up and says "you wanna fight daddy", and there they go! They wrestle and she's laughing so hard, she can't move! They do alot "stunts" that make me nervous.....

And this my friends, is my little ballerina! Her class got their ballets costumes in the other week. The teacher did a little try-on while we were there, and she was so proud! (excuse the black tights....she will be wearing beige ones I think) She looks super cute and I'm not sure how I will hold it together at the recital.

The next few months are going to be busy....Easter, Baby showers, a wedding in GA and then this mama's going to nest! MC's dance recital is in June, and after, my parents will take her on her annual summer adventure with them, so Brian and I will have about 2 wks to get things in order, rest, and enjoy a little time together before we are on the countdown to a family of 4!

Snow!

We got snow Saturday night.....not alot, but enough to satisfy me for the winter. It was bone chilling and windy, but so pretty! Before church Sunday morning, we got bundled up and went out.
This is my little bundle! We were out for 5 mins, and she was ready to go back inside! But this picture is one of my faves.

Love like Crazy



This little lady right here, never ceases to amaze me! She has dance on Wednesday nights. She looks forward to it and gets so excited to wear her princess dress, ballet shoes, and tap shoes. This picture is from her very first day, and you can see the glowing excitement on her face! Last night, the mommys and daddys were handed dance sheets, that had the words to a song, and we were to write in the movements, how we would remember then, to help them practice. It has been YEARS since I have done any dance moves...(well ballet and tap anyway, HA!) So then, we got to see the class do their dance. I can't even put into words how it made me feel. It's so crazy how she remembered everything, followed along with the teachers and was smiling the whole time! So, I started crying. I could blame it on new baby hormones, but not this time. I am so proud of her and she's so smart, and when the little ones love something so much, they do their best!! She has a dance recital in June, and I may have to hire a photographer and videographer, so I won't miss a moment!
And as for the other little peanut that is perculating away in my tummy.......I will be 13 wks this Saturday. All of my baseling testing is done (for hypertension), BP has been good, and I may be coming out of my tired-in-a-coma-by-7pm every night phase. Hopefully. I'm ready for energy and start getting ready! We are having a yard sale at the end of February, so there's my motivation to get in gear. I will do it. I must do it.
Other than that, we stay busy! Thankfully, Brian hasn't had to go anywhere lately....I may have just jinxed that....oops. But he is taking a couple college classes this semester....Sociology and Chemistry with a Lab. And although things seems so crazy and we are both stretched to the max, in about 5 yrs, it will all be worth it.

Ok, seriously!

Why do I look and feel 13 months pregnant right now? More than a handful of peeps have said they have starting showing early during their 2nd pregnancy, and I'm joining the crowd! I will be 11 wks this Saturday....curious to know if I will be able to see my toes soon!
Cravings. I have them. Not alot, but when I see something that gets the buds going, I pretty much need to have it in the next 24 hrs, or somebody is getting hurt. Most of these mouth-watering foods are coming from pinterest. To which I'm addicted. Like many other people with more than enough going on, than to sit and stare and plan and ponder and make everything in their/my head. I'm really into tangy/vinegar-y stuff. If it will lock my jaw, I want to eat it! I saw this amazing greek dip on pinterest I'm going to have to try. It involves black olives, I have never liked those things, but I now need to eat them. Craziness.

Speaking of cravings......

This little lady right here......melts the heart like no other. And showing off that she is happy to be a big sister, that just says it all. She talks to "the baby in mommys belly" and is so sweet and gentle. Just want to eat her up!

And this my little family. Happy. Blessed. And I could not ask for more.

A First Look and Weekend Shananigans.

And here we are.....one little peanut with a heartbeat that flickers like a blinker with a short. I had my 1st appt this past Friday, and everything went well. 9 wks here and everything is looking good and on track.
I'm starting to show early...I've heard that can happen with the 2nd or 3rd child. I will accept it. Gotta love elastic waist bands!

Right at the end of my pregnancy with Maryclara, my BP had been getting higher. Not pre-ecalmpsia, just borderline. I was at the doctor every 3-4 days doing all sorts of tests and they would monitor her. Turns out, I was fine and she was just dandy herself! She came with no problems. However, my BP stayed elevated some, so I was on meds. Anyway, the short of the long....I now have to be seen at the Naval Hospital (I'm seeing military docs) in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic. Sounds complicated, but since I'm classified as  having "hypertension" now, I will have an ultrasound there. They get a closer look at things and make sure baby is OK.

This weekend was busy. My mom had come back to VA with us after the New Year to hang out. Brian went on a well deserved golf trip, so the girls had a fun weekend! Saturday we had lunch at Chicks. It's a fun restaurant right on the water where you can watch the boats, and some dock, hop off and come have lunch! MC enjoys that, and it was GORGEOUS outside, so we took advantage. Then we headed down to the beach...the 70 degree beach in January.



She's a hoot and she had so much fun! The water was freezing, but she had those little fat feet at the edge and just laughed when the water would hit her. Mom left Saturday night.....it's always super hard...tears and all. Happens every time. Without fail. But, she got to go to my first appt and see her 2nd little grand in its earliest form. Her and Papa will be here end of February...they don't stay away more than a month or so at a time, if we can't make it GA. Fine with us, and we always have something to look forward to.

Sunday, well.....brunchandadragshow. Nuff said.

I think I could get used to this blogging stuff. Oh, and random. I have been so tired during this first trimester. (Happened with MC) However, I have had some OCD kick in and have been cleaning up and cleaning out. Brian was pleasantly surprised to see the closet floor when he got home last night. I'm hoping it will stick. Maybe. We'll see. Let's not get our hopes up....if we say it too loud, it will go away!

Short/Sweet--First of (hopefully) many!

I'm new at this, so bare with me. I originally wanted to start this tomorrow, but more on that tomorrow. Just wanted to get my 2 cents in today, if only for a few sentences.
It's 2012...2011 flew by, but was good to us! We are going to be super busy this year, so stay tuned!
